About Me...

I've been designing websites and web-based applications since about 1999. Originally this began from a music perspective springing from my degree in Creative Music Technology but developed into a full-time activity.

The Tools of My Trade

I owe a mention to the great software and hardware I use on a daily basis that helps me get my work done...

Apple

Apple Computer

I use Apple computers for development and pretty much everything else I do too. I won't go on about it too much else I'll get flamed!

BBEdit - It Doesn't Suck

BBEdit

Simply the best and most powerful text editor for the Mac. Nothing compares! Go to www.barebones.com to find out more and see other great apps by Bare Bones Software.

Xyle Scope - Powerful CSS Analysis

Xyle Scope

“An Innovative CSS Tool for Analysis, Debugging, and Fine-tuning” Made by Cultured Code.

Transmit - FTP for the rest of us

Transmit

A great FTP client made by the folks at Panic Software.

OpenBSD - Free, Functional, Secure

OpenBSD

OpenBSD is my preferred operating system for running, well, anything really. It's very secure out of the box, infact, rumour has it that no other OS comes close to it's security track record.

There are many other Open Source software packages that I use all the time including the MySQL database server, PHP, Apache Web Server, Emacs...
